september 14

i have noticed that i am definitely a lot more sensitive now that i am pregnant. i have always been a crier, but now it's getting out of control. classic example #1: i am on my way to work, listening to oldies on the radio. the song "downtown" by petula clark comes on and as i am singing along, i begin to cry. i change the station, get myself under control, change the station back and begin to cry again almost immediately. what? who does that? i still don't have any reasonable explanation for why that song did me in like that.

classic example #2: i am at work and i read a story about the wife of one of the trapped chilean miners giving birth to their first child while her husband is still underground. of course i completely lose it; i had to take a full 15 minutes before i was able to get back to work.

I love reading about your "sensitivity". Isn't it amazing that a little thing like a baby can make you so much more sensitive?

Your baby will make you cry a few more times, as time goes by; but he will make you laugh, too!
