my life in a nutshell

here are some things that have happened to me or are going to happen to me that may or may not interest you:
1. superbowl party at our house on sunday! yay! lots of friends and food, what could be better?
2. in preparation for the party, we carpeted our living room, raked our lawn (funny how all of the leaves from our neighbor's tree ended up in OUR yard), put a tile backsplash in our kitchen, tiled an entryway in our living room, put in a new pedestal sink, painted our bathroom and living room, bought a coffee table, finished plastering the ceiling in the kitchen and re-painted the moulding around the windows and doors in our house, not to mention all the general cleaning. we really need to have parties over at our house more often: it gives us an incentive to actually do stuff around the house.
3. we bought our first vacuum and vacuumed our carpet in the bedroom and study for the first time since we moved in.
4. i hate my boss. she has taken over the posting of trades and, of course, none have been posted.
5. i saw "the wedding date." if any of you out there have a hankerin' to see that movie, don't. it was terrible. the characters and their relationships were really underdeveloped, it was totally unbelievable (because the relationships were underdeveloped), there were extremely crude parts and it was a waste of time.
6. we lost our intramural basketball by 24 points. the score was 6 to 30. i have since decided that i don't like playing against girls because they are scrappy players.
7. the store 5-7-9 is closing and having a huge sale: i bought a pair of pants, a jacket and two sweaters for $20. SWEET!
8. valentine's day is coming up and i have no idea what to do for brad. i think i will make him dinner and i bought him a little something (if'n you know what i mean), but i think i should do more. too bad we can't go anywhere--brad told our home teachers to come visit us on the sunday before valentine's day. so much for a weekend in a nice hotel where we don't have to cook or clean. now that's what i call romance!
9. i have realized that thai food is pretty much the best food in the world.
10. i have also realized that i am really tan! whoo-hoo! for the first time in my life i will not be embarassed to get in a bathing suit and show off my legs.
