i'm baaack!

my life: nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, something, nothing, nothing, nothing, EVERYTHING!!!

in case you missed it, that EVERYTHING!!! has been the past two months. which is why there has not been a new posting in a while. but now that the semester has afforded me a few quiet moments (emphasis on "few"), i decided that it would be nice to actually say something on this webspace so it won't be wasted.

brad and i are going to a concert on monday. what a family home evening, eh? the band is the decemberists and they are pretty hip. i am excited because i never get to go to concerts, and here i am, going to concerts. the last one i went to was radiohead, and that was just after brad and i got married.

so, i know that i am a procrastinator, and i have known that for a while. the thing is, i don't know if i procrastinate because i work better under pressure, or just because i am super lazy and i always think there will be enough time "later." sometimes i wish that i wasn't a procrastinator, but then i am too lazy to do anything about it. for instance: i had a rough draft of a modern art paper due on thursday (one of the contributors to "EVERYTHING!!!"). i had known about it since the beginning of the year, and yet i wait until the day it is due to start it. i think it is brad's fault. he always wants me to work at home, but when i am at home i would much rather hang out with him than write a boring art history paper. and i just feel tired all the time. it makes me kind of sad that my life is only going to get more stressful and busy and not less.

speaking of less stressful and busy, we are planning a cruise for may. i am so excited. but don't be offended, mom, when i don't call you on your birthday or on mother's day because i am in puerto rico. it will be rough, but i think i'll survive. our cruise information: carnival cruise lines, leaves out of puerto rico. lasts seven days, and ports of call are antigua, barbados, st. thomas and dominica (if any of you have fun things to do at these ports, suggestions are always welcome), plus we get two days at sea to have fun all over the ship. i am really looking forward to swimming in the carribean (mmm...warm water), basking in the sun, eating as much as i want when i want, and getting cool souvenirs like the statue that mandi and mike got. i just have to get through the rest of this semester, which is harder than it sounds.
