something to think about

so i was thinking...admirable feat, difficult though it may be, about christmas. and the thought occurred to me that there are people all over the country trying to remove every speck of religion from public spaces (i.e. ten commandment plaques in front of government buildings, "under God" from the pledge of allegiance, etc.) who go home and decorate their christmas trees and buy their kids christmas presents and are grateful for the presents they get and the days they get off from work because of the holiday and gladly accept christmas bonuses. and they think nothing of it. if they really wanted religion out of society, then they would be making a huge deal out of the fact that christmas--the celebration of Christ's birth--is a national holiday. and they would also make a big deal about easter too. but they don't because they like the holidays and i guarantee that no one will ever go as far as to get christmas and easter removed from the national holiday list (if, in fact, there is a national holiday list). these people drive me crazy. do they not realize that most of the laws this country are based on the laws given from on high? what are these people thinking?
